Spot the slop — one last move before your certificate
Before we hand you a certificate that says you understand Playbook, let's prove it. Here's a piece of traditional responsible gambling copy. Read it. Tell us what's wrong. Then write a Playbook version — one sentence is fine.
"It is important to remember that responsible gambling practices are absolutely crucial for maintaining a healthy gambling experience. We strongly recommend that problem gamblers consider setting limits to avoid becoming addicted. If you cannot control your gambling, please contact our helpline immediately."
Which Playbook principle does this break the worst?
All three are real problems. The strongest answer is the stigma one — labels like "problem gambler" and "cannot control" shut readers down before any other fix has a chance to land.
—
"Set your deposit limit. It takes 10 seconds, and it's reversible. Free help for any question about gambling: 1-800-XXX-XXXX."
What changed. Specific behavior instead of "responsible gambling." No labels — no "problem gambler," no "cannot control." "Set" is an offer, not a "should." Helpline framed as available for any question, not crisis-only.
